During a photography mentorship, students can grow their creative, social, and cultural understanding of the art, as well as develop technical knowledge around equipment, techniques, and style. Beyond building confidence as a photographer, or developing a personal style, students can learn about all aspects of the medium and its pioneers. While building out a portfolio seems the obvious choice, some students conduct historical and stylistic analyses, or explore the social and cultural significance of photography or a particular photographer.
